Fiat’s legendary 500 is now driving through the city electrically with the new Fiat 500e. It is not a slow vehicle with its 87 kWh / 118 hp electric motor and 150 km/h maximum speed limit. With its available quick charging system, it can even be suitable for longer distances.
Fiat has installed a battery with a maximum capacity of 42 kWh, of which 37.3 kWh can be used. That’s decent and should enable a range of 320 kilometres according to the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP).
It was to be expected that Fiat’s first electric car would be an offshoot of the successful 500 series. But, everyone who had expected a half-baked conversion of the existing model was taught a lesson by Fiat.
The electric Fiat 500e stands on its own platform and it was completely designed new from the ground up. The 500e basically only has the cute looks in common with its now 14 year old petrol powered namesake.
As soon as you get in, you can see how modern the Fiat 500 has become in its electric version. A button is hidden in the door handles with which the doors can be opened electrically. Inside, too, there is a button instead of a mechanical handle.
The daytime running lights on the bonnet act like small eyebrows and there is a welcoming melody when the engine is started. These are all small details, but they are consistent because Fiat wants every customer to feel that the Fiat 500e is made with love.

If you want an existing charger installed, just let your technician know when booking an installation date.
Once the EV charger is in place, the technician can also help you connect any apps for the charger and show you how to use them.

1. Answer: After you fill out a quote request form, you’ll be sent a text message to complete your request on your smartphone. This will include taking and sending photos of your switchboard, desired charger location and more. All of these questions have been carefully curated to ensure we provide you with a fixed-quote.
2. Choose: Our quotes include a recommended EV charger based on our assessment of your home as well as two alternative EV chargers for you to choose from. All options include the delivery, installation and activation of the EV charger quoted at a fixed price — making it easy for you to choose. We also have an installation only service for homeowners looking to have an existing EV charger installed and activated by a technician.
3. Install: We’ll then send you an invoice for payment. If you ordered your EV charger with revcharge, you will receive it before this date. If you have an existing charger you want installed, just let your technician know when booking your installation. Once the EV charger is in place, the installer can also help you connect any apps for the charger and show you how to use it.
