The Nissan Leaf has been available for over ten years and it has continued to evolve over the past decade, especially its battery. When the first version was introduced in 2011, it only had a capacity of 24 kWh, but today’s version is offered with 39 kWh and 62 kWh as the Leaf e+.
The base version comes with a 39 kWh battery that only covers 270 kilometres with a full charge. It gets better with the Leaf e+, with a range of 340 kilometres.
The Leaf has a Type 2 AC connection with a charging capacity of up to 6.6 kW, and a CHAdeMO DC connection with up to 50 kW for fast charging stations. A full charge with a household socket takes around 21 hours for the small battery and 32 hours for the large one. At a fast charging station, the battery can be charged to 80 percent in 45 minutes (39 kWh) and 65 minutes (62 kWh).
The engine power of 110 kW / 150 hp is perfectly adequate for the basic version. The sprint from zero to 100 kilometres in 7.9 seconds. The top speed is limited to 144 km/h (157 km/h with the 62 kWh battery), and it makes sense in this application. After all, the power consumption of electric cars increases significantly beyond the recommended speed.

If you want an existing charger installed, just let your technician know when booking an installation date.
Once the EV charger is in place, the technician can also help you connect any apps for the charger and show you how to use them.

1. Answer: After you fill out a quote request form, you’ll be sent a text message to complete your request on your smartphone. This will include taking and sending photos of your switchboard, desired charger location and more. All of these questions have been carefully curated to ensure we provide you with a fixed-quote.
2. Choose: Our quotes include a recommended EV charger based on our assessment of your home as well as two alternative EV chargers for you to choose from. All options include the delivery, installation and activation of the EV charger quoted at a fixed price — making it easy for you to choose. We also have an installation only service for homeowners looking to have an existing EV charger installed and activated by a technician.
3. Install: We’ll then send you an invoice for payment. If you ordered your EV charger with revcharge, you will receive it before this date. If you have an existing charger you want installed, just let your technician know when booking your installation. Once the EV charger is in place, the installer can also help you connect any apps for the charger and show you how to use it.
