A Volkswagen icon, the Kombi is being electrified. The Volkswagen ID.Buzz is visually based on the first microbus generation T1 and like its ancestor, it comes with rear-wheel drive. It is available as a five-seater or as an electric transporter version “Cargo”.
The design of the ID.Buzz is strongly based on the first generation of the VW Transporter bus. The characteristic front shield with the V-shaped indentation was one of the most striking design elements back then and will also be a theme in the new edition. The bus can also have the iconic two-tone paintwork for an additional charge.
Volkswagen ID.Buzz wants to be a real Kombi, so the entrance is pleasantly high. The short snout also suggests a manageable distance from the driver’s seat to the end of the vehicle but unfortunately, due to the bulky dashboard, this bus is less easy to assess from the front.
The overhangs are short, the window areas are large, as is the logo on the front. Volkswagen ID.Buzz bears the largest VW emblem in the current model range. The cockpit closely follows the other vehicles in the ID family and looks easy on the eyes.
At the market launch, VW will initially equip the ID.Buzz and the ID.Buzz Cargo with an electric motor on the rear axle that delivers 150 kW (204 hp) and 310 Nm of torque. The top speed is limited to 145 kilometres per hour and the 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 10.2 seconds.
Initially, the ID.Buzz will only be available with one battery variant. It has a capacity of 82 kWh, and VW specifies the resulting range as up to 410 kilometres according to the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP). Volkswagen wants to offer models with a smaller battery in near future.

2. Choose: Our quotes include a recommended EV charger based on our assessment of your home as well as two alternative EV chargers for you to choose from. All options include the delivery, installation and activation of the EV charger quoted at a fixed price — making it easy for you to choose. We also have an installation only service for homeowners looking to have an existing EV charger installed and activated by a technician.
3. Install: We’ll then send you an invoice for payment. If you ordered your EV charger with revcharge, you will receive it before this date. If you have an existing charger you want installed, just let your technician know when booking your installation. Once the EV charger is in place, the installer can also help you connect any apps for the charger and show you how to use it.
